Don Corbett’s determined representation of his clients’ interests, coupled with a deep understanding of their business and goals, has earned him a reputation as a skilled and dogged advocate for his clients. A Partner in Lowenstein's Capital Markets Litigation Group, he knows that a comprehensive understanding of a client’s business is essential to providing effective legal advice and that the interests of the business drive decisions about litigation.

Don regularly represents corporate officers, directors and special committees in shareholder derivative actions, class actions and related SEC investigations and enforcement proceedings. He also represents funds, financial institutions and institutional investors in various securities and securities industry related disputes, including disputes involving structured finance and asset-backed securities such as residential mortgage-backed securities (RMBS) and collateralized debt obligations (CDOs).

Don has also been a leader in the firm’s efforts to provide pro bono services to America’s veterans.

Represents directors, officers, special committees and companies in merger and going-private transactions.
Served as counsel to a special committee of an NYSE-listed company in shareholder derivative actions in federal and state courts alleging wrongdoing regarding CDOs and RMBS.
