Doug Bernstein is Of Counsel to Lowenstein Sandler and a member of the Tech Group. His practice focuses on venture capital, private equity, securities laws, mergers and acquisitions, and general corporate law. Doug has 10 years of corporate transactional experience and has been an advisor to many investors and early-stage companies. He serves as outside counsel to First Round Capital, a family of early-stage, technology-focused, venture capital funds.
Doug also currently serves as in-house counsel to Associated Partners LP, a private investment partnership focusing on investments in communications, media, internet and related technology companies.
Doug served as an Adjunct Professor at Rutgers Law School from 2001 through 2004, were he co-taught a course on Venture Capital Law.
Prior to re-joining Lowenstein Sandler, Mr. Bernstein was a partner in the New York City office of a 250 lawyer firm where he represented venture funds and venture-backed business.
